Mission Statement
PWPOA or the Professional Wedding Photographers of Austin was created for the sole purpose of helping couples easily find an industry-leading wedding photographer in Austin/Central Texas. Our members each have over 10 years of experience serving couples and doing it with outstanding reviews. You can hire any one of our members and know with confidence you are getting a certified professional wedding photographer with the experience needed to deliver a superb product. Not only do all members have their work certified by our board but they are also fully insured.
For the Couples
Hiring a wedding photographer will probably be the only time in your life you spend thousands of dollars on a service and have no real idea of what you are going to get. You hope the photographer you choose has a portfolio that is a good representation of their skillset and work ethic. Unfortunately, you don't know until after the wedding and you never get a chance to do it over if you hire the wrong person. The PWPOA was created so couples can hire with confidence and know you are in great hands.
Nowadays there are 1000s of people out there claiming they are good enough to photograph your wedding. In a world where anyone can create a flashy website and fill it with photos, they run through some store-bought presets, it gets hard to tell who is the real deal. It is especially difficult for couples that don't know much about photography! How do you sort through them all? Where do you start?
The PWPOA was created to solve that problem. Every single member of the PWPOA has at least 10 years of experience as a full-time wedding photographer in Austin, and they have all been certified by a board of their peers. The PWPOA board is comprised of some of the very best talents in Austin, TX. Members also have legal business entities and are fully insured. Our members have demonstrated time and time again they can produce a consistent quality product no matter the circumstance. Above all, they are honest in the way they handle your business and document with passion.

How to Join
Interested in joining the PWPOA family? If you meet the basic criteria listed below, you will need to submit 3 full wedding galleries for the PWPOA board to review. If your work is approved by the PWPOA board then you are welcomed to join. We will send you the needed marketing materials to showcase your new credentials. Membership fees are only $100 for the year. The fees go directly towards the association to help promote our photographers and the PWPOA in the Austin/Central Texas area.
Basic Requirements:
At least 10 years experience photographing weddings full-time (lead)
Must work primarily in the Austin area
The minimum amount of weddings you must photograph per year is 15
Portfolio must be dynamic and show a premium skillset
Client reviews must show a standard of total satisfaction
Must be fully insured
There is no substitute for experience. We believe after 10 years working weddings you have seen it all at least a few times. No matter the situation, we will produce.Experience

You can find their contact info there. We do not have preferred placement or "featured" vendors. Every member is awesome. Hire with confidence.
