Hi, I’m Tyler Schmitt. I’m the owner and “director of awesomeness” at The Mill Photography Studio. I shoot in a very photojournalistic style, telling the story of your event through a candid approach that yields timeless and emotive images, all while having a great time. My goal is to give you authentic, emotive and genuine images that make your friends jealous.
I began my photography career at age seven when I followed my dad around as he took photos at the INDY 500. After earning bachelor’s degrees in both photography and graphic design, I began my professional career when I opened my studio in 2000.
When I’m not running around town taking photos, I’m chasing my three children, ages 14, 12 and 6, (the smallest one thinks I photograph princesses for a living)
