My name is Svetlana Frolova. I am a Russian native with a home base in Austin, Texas.
In Russia, I attended the Linguistic University of Nizhny Novgorod where I studied English and French. Upon graduating in 2002, I decided to pursue the “American Dream” and came to the States with only $300 in my pocket! It was only a few years later, when I was traveling in India with a non-profit called The Miracle Foundation and volunteered at one of their orphanages, that I developed a love and passion for photography.
Photography is all about the manipulation of light. It seems only natural to me that I became a photographer as my name, Svetlana, in Russian means “light”.
Since then, I have photographed hundreds of weddings and made several good friends as a result of my profession.
My great adventure reached its pinnacle while I was working at a wedding in 2013. A bride introduced me to her very handsome cousin, Ben, right after he caught the garter. Two years later we were married!
As our love has grown, so has our family. In 2016 we welcomed the little love of our lives, our darling baby Sasha.
